Build a run-of-show
Add each key moment and its time. Get a clean, ordered timeline you can copy or print and hand to every vendor on the day.
What a good run-of-show does
A run-of-show is the single source of truth for timing on the day. It stops the classic failures — the caterer plating while speeches run long, the band packing up before the last dance, the photographer missing the toast. List moments in the order they happen, give each a real time (not "afternoon"), and share the same sheet with every vendor so nobody's working from a different plan.
The timeline sorts itself by time as you add moments, so drop them in any order. Build the budget alongside it with the event budget calculator, and if you'd rather hand the whole day to someone, an event planner owns the run-of-show for you. For the wider plan, read how to budget an event.
