What a class actually earns

A full room and a half-empty one price very differently. See revenue and profit per class, and the fill rate you need to break even.

How this is calculated

Attendees are capacity × fill rate, rounded to whole people. Revenue isattendees × price per seat, and profit is revenue − fixed cost. The break-even fill rate is the point where seat revenue exactly covers your fixed cost — below it you're paying to teach, above it every extra seat is close to pure margin.

Fixed costs are the trap: they don't shrink when the room is half full, so a class that's fine at 80% can lose money at 40%. If you also sell one-on-one time, the session package calculator helps you price bundles, and how to price your services covers setting the seat price in the first place. Teaching a full studio schedule usually means working as a yoga instructor or similar — price each class so the schedule pays.
